WhitingRanch.com is not directly affiliated with the county nor Whiting Ranch park. It is, however, a volunteer and community supported website dedicated to sharing our common interest in this little spot of wilderness in our backyard.

Borrego - One Way Or Another

	Borrego Trail is One Way for bicyclists, and I like it that way.
	Borrego Trail should be Two Way for bicyclists too, not everyone can complete the loop!
	There should be another path along Borrego dedicated to bicycles. Everyone is happy!

Doggone It!

	Dogs should be allowed in the park.
	Keep dogs out, they interfere with the sensitive wildlife.

Injured Biker Rescued

Rescued Biker

Thursday afternoon, various rescue teams showed up at Whiting Ranch to bring an injured mountain biker down from the trail and in for medical attention. The rider appeared to have suffered an injury to his leg or arm but seemed to be alert and in good condition otherwise. What struck me the most was the amazing turnout of rescue people and vehicles... There were at least 18 people in some form of official capacity and around 7 vehicles (plus 2 all terrain "quad-like" vehicles). All I can say is if I ever get injured on a trail I want it to be at Whiting Ranch!
