Sighted a deer possibly female at second wooden bridge on the Borrego trail. The deer looked in good health and was very cautious. The size of the deer was 3.5ft at the shoulders and looked fairly young. As we followed the trail looking around through the oaks we spotted a tall deer in the distance; immediately, we all froze in our tracks as the deer looked at us through the forest. We stayed there for a moment until it knew we were no threat. Cautiously, it slowly walked closer to us still feeding on the leaves and looking at us. It moved forward about twelve feet away, over the path and leaped over into the creek.
