9 months after the fires, Whiting reopens with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a couple hundred people anxious to see the trails again.

The park is still closed, so I travel to several legal vantage points to take pictures of the fire damage. Oct 28 2007. As you can see by the pictures, Whiting Ranch looks like a charred wasteland. Please do not enter the park until it is officially opened. It is illegal to enter now and you can be fined if you disobey the posted signs!
